The real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR instrument consists of a fluorescence quantitative system and a CCD system. Through the real-time monitoring of the CCD, the fluorescence during the cycle is monitored. A computer connected to the real-time device collects fluorescence data. The data is displayed in the form of graphs through the developed real-time analysis software. Raw data were plotted as fluorescence intensity versus cycle number. Analysis can begin after raw data has been collected. The real-time device’s software can normalize the collected data to compensate for differences in background fluorescence. After normalization, threshold levels can be set and fluorescence data analyzed.
