Q: Hello Mr. Liu, I’m glad that you can be interviewed by the Alliance in this exhibition, can you briefly introduce MindVision?

A: Sure. MindVision has specialized in the research, development and application of machine vision technology since its official incorporation in 2013. Initially, we were a team of a few R&D experts focusing on product development and optimization. Without a sales team, we are we were relatively weak in the marketing, but gradually won market recognition with the uniqueness and quality performance of our products.

By 2015, we realized the importance of marketing, so we set up the company’s first sales team and began to take the initiative to expand the market. This initiative brought significant performance improvement for the company and laid a solid foundation for our subsequent development.

As our business continued to expand and the market continued to grow, we relocated our headquarters in 2021. We relocated our R&D and production centers from Shenzhen to Changsha to better integrate resources and optimize production processes. In the same year, we also established our East China branch in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province to further expand our market in East China.

At present, MindVision is in a stage of rapid development. With our profound accumulation and continuous innovation in the field of machine vision technology, we have established a wide customer base nationwide and achieved remarkable application results in a number of industry sectors. We firmly believe that with the continuous development and application of machine vision technology, MindVision will usher in a broader market prospect and development space.

Q: Could you please introduce the product technologies and solutions that your company has brought to VisioChina (Beijing), and the highlights of them?

A: In this exhibition, we focus on our short-wave infrared camera series, Including line scan and area scan types. These two cameras utilize state-of-the-art infrared imaging technology to provide clear, high-quality images in complex lighting environments. In the semiconductor industry, our cameras have a wide range of applications in wafer inspection and packaging.

We have also luanched a 256 DTI high-performance line scan camera series, which not only with high speed feature, but is also capable of imaging in dark-field environments with 256 times the brightness of comparable products.

Finally, we also showed a self-developed 10 Gigabit NIC that integrates some of the image processing functions, greatly reducing the load on the CPU and leaving more space for AI algorithm processing.

Q: With the country’s emphasis on new industrialization, what role does your technology play in the promotion of new industrialization of new industries?

A: New industrialization is an important direction for the country’s economic development, and machine vision technology, as one of the important applications of the deep integration of information technology and industrialization, plays a key role in the promotion of new industrialization. Our products are able to provide high-quality image data and highly analyzed by advanced algorithms to help industries achieve intelligent and automated transformation. This not only improves productivity and reduces labor costs, but also promotes sustainable industrial development. Through high-precision inspection, we are able to realize precise control of the production process, reduce the waste of raw materials, and reduce environmental pollution by effectively monitoring and treating emissions through image processing technology. In addition, machine vision technology can help workers perform more accurate and efficient work and improve work safety.

Q: In the current situation of economic downturn, how will your company cope with the challenges and ensure its steady development?

A: In the face of the challenges of the economic downturn, we have taken a series of measures to ensure the steady development of the company. First, we focus on cost reduction and efficiency, and respond to market pressure by strictly controlling costs and improving production efficiency. Second, we have stepped up our efforts in innovation and research and development, and continue to introduce new products that meet market demand in order to satisfy the diversified needs of our customers. At the same time, we focus on improving service quality, enhancing brand image and actively maintaining customer relationships. In terms of talents, we emphasize on the introduction and cultivation of talents to provide a strong guarantee for the sustainable development of the company. In addition, we are actively exploring new markets and developing incremental markets on the basis of ensuring the stock market. Finally, we will pay close attention to industry dynamics and policy changes to create favorable conditions for the company’s development.

Q: With the continuous iteration and update of artificial intelligence technology, what new market demands do you think will emerge in the machine vision industry in the future? Which segment of the industry will your company focus on?

A: With the continuous progress of artificial intelligence technology, the machine vision industry will usher in a wider range of applications and deeper development. In the future, we will see machine vision play a greater role in intelligent manufacturing, automatic driving, intelligent medical and other fields. In these fields, machine vision will realize more efficient image recognition, more accurate target tracking and more intelligent data analysis.

In response to these new market demands, we will focus on laying out two industry segments, namely intelligent manufacturing and intelligent medical care. In the field of intelligent manufacturing, we will be committed to providing high-performance machine vision equipment and solutions to help enterprises realize intelligent transformation; in the field of intelligent medical care, we will realize accurate analysis and diagnosis of medical images through machine vision technology to improve the efficiency and quality of medical services. Meanwhile, we will also pay close attention to the development of other emerging fields to provide more possibilities for the future development of the company.

Q: Mr. Liu, in the construction of smart factory, which aspect do you think customers value most? At the same time, how does MindVision propose and solve problems for these pain points?

A: In the process of smart factory construction, customers undoubtedly attach most importance to several key aspects: efficiency, cost reduction, safety and quality after-sales service. First of all, efficiency is a point of great concern to customers. In the current manufacturing environment, improving production efficiency is an important goal for enterprises to pursue.

MindVision helps customers realize the automation and intelligence of production lines by providing advanced machine vision technology, thus significantly improving production efficiency. Secondly, cost reduction is another key focus for customers. With the rising cost of labor, enterprises are facing tremendous cost pressure. MindVision’s machine vision technology can help enterprises reduce their reliance on labor and reduce labor cost expenses. In addition, safety is also a great concern for customers. In industrial production, safety accidents often bring huge losses to enterprises. Compared with manual operation, the safety and stability of the machine is higher, which can reduce the safety accidents caused by human factors. Finally, high quality after-sales service is also a very important aspect for customers.

Q: What is your overall impression of VisionChina (Beijing) 2024 as the first exhibition this year? What are your expectations and outlook for the development of China’s machine vision market in 2024?

A: I am looking forward to VisionChina (Beijing) 2024. As the first major exhibition in the machine vision field in China, it brings together many elites and cutting-edge technologies in the industry, and provides us with a valuable communication platform. I hope to see more innovative products and technologies at the show, and have in-depth exchanges with senior experts in the industry to jointly promote the development of the machine vision industry.

I am optimistic about the development of China’s machine vision market in 2024. With the continuous promotion of intelligent manufacturing and industrial automation, machine vision technology will be widely used in more industries, helping industrial upgrading and transformation. I hope that domestic companies will increase their R&D investment, keep launching competitive products and solutions, reduce unnecessary competition in the industry, and work together to contribute to the country’s economic development. At the same time, I also expect to see cooperation and win-win situation in the industry, and jointly promote the continuous innovation and development of machine vision technology.
